Apparently the North Koreans are now making trafficgirl dolls!

Unquestionably they realize the universal popularity of their traffic ladies, and are responding to international demand.

We finally have a podium shift change video, thanks to MrsDaggy3000 on YouTube.

This is great - watch it full screen in HD, and you can see the smiles on the traffic girls as they perfom their shift change for the crowd of onlookers. As the relieved traffic girl marches back, take notice of all the people taking pictures and video of her, while she tries not to react to all the attention.

The shift change performance draws spontaneous applause and whoots from the crowd!

Offenders can be punished with hours of forced labor or fines of 700 won, almost a week's salary for the average worker, human rights group Good Friends ...

Here's a series of photos showing a Traffic Lady shift change in Dalian China. It looks less disciplined then the the PTGs shift relief routine - although they do salute each other at the exchange. And look at that platform - a built-in step, and an umbrella for shade or rain.

I wonder if the DPRK will ever acquire this impressive technology?

11 Craziest Kim Jong-Il Moments (with links)

1. Kim plans to solve North Korea's famine by breeding giant rabbits. This is my all-time favorite Kim Jong-Il story. In 2006, Kim finds out that there's a guy in Germany who breeds giant rabbits. Seriously huge rabbits. Like, rabbits the size of dogs.

And Kim just becomes enamored of these, to the point where he decides that giant rabbits will be the solution to his country's widespread hunger problems.

Not Photoshopped. This is Szmolinsy ...

Difference between White and Blue Uniforms

I was wondering if there is any significant difference between girls who wear white uniforms as opposed to those who wear the more common blue ones. I'm guessing it has to do with rank/status/time on the job, etc. Thanks for any info.

The girls look decent and well-dressed. Are these pictures at training spots or did they pose for the camera. I do not see much traffic that they have to direct.
